North Somerset parks and open spaces volunteering

Rewilding champions

North Somerset Council's rewilding champions have been surveying rewilded sites since 2023. The rewilding project aims to increase biodiversity across our parks and open spaces by introducing areas of tall grass and tree planting.

Our volunteers survey areas of tall grass for pollinators, insects and plant species.

You can find out more by emailing our parks ranger.

Woodspring Ramblers

The Woodspring Ramblers work alongside North Somerset Council's public rights of way team to help manage the public rights of way network in North Somerset.

They carry out tasks such as clearing vegetation and installing new gates and fences.
