Volunteering on our parks and open spaces

We work with volunteer groups to improve our parks and green spaces. Improvement tasks range from litter picking to conservation management. All groups meet on different days of the week and are lead by enthusiastic and invaluable volunteer leads.

Our parks and seafronts team, natural environment team and public rights of way team work closely with our groups. Our teams make sure that all tasks directly support and benefit each site, the community and importantly the volunteers taking part.

We currently have a parks ranger who works with volunteers to deliver activities on our open spaces. They will soon be introducing opportunities for green social prescribing. For more information, email our parks ranger at parksranger@n-somerset.gov.uk.
