Following a successful selection process, a new operator has been found to run the Victorian Café on Weston-super-Mare’s seafront.

A collection of 20 books and additional digital resources are now available to support people living with dementia in North Somerset’s libraries, as well as their carers, friends and family.

Two thousand plants have been successfully planted at the floral clock in Weston-super-Mare. The work has taken just over a week to complete, and was carried out by the North Somerset Council’s grounds maintenance contractors, Glendale.

North Somerset Council has appointed a team led by architecture practice We Made That to design solutions for three improvement projects in Weston-super-Mare. These are: Grove Park, Marine Lake and ‘wayfinding’, encouraging people to move around the town centre and seafront.

The Knife Angel arrived in Weston-super-Mare yesterday (Wednesday 1 May). The statue was officially welcomed to North Somerset with a short opening ceremony in the afternoon.
