Joinery

Applications to discharge these joinery conditions will need accurate drawings and details:

  • drawings should be drawn at a scale of 1:10 or 1:20.
  • when traditional or historic features are being replaced:
    • the location of the existing features should be clearly identified on an existing elevation drawing
    • section drawings of the existing joinery are required at a scale of 1:1 or 1:2
  • proposed joinery sections are required and should be drawn at a scale of 1:1 or 1:2
  • proposed joinery sections for windows and doors should show the wall in which they are mounted to show the depth of reveal
  • details of the proposed joinery materials are required, for example: 'sustainably sourced hardwood stained with…'
