Discharge of condition - bird boxes

Applications to discharge these conditions will need to show:

  • detailed drawings or product specifications of the boxes
  • proposed locations of the boxes
  • how many boxes will be installed

Nest boxes should be erected out of reach of predators, at a height of 1.5 to 5 metres. They are best directed facing between south-east and north to avoid direct sunlight and heavy rain.

To discharge bird or nestbox conditions from your planning permission, apply and pay using the Planning Portal website.
