A coordinated programme involving multiple operations and “Days of Action” in town centres has been launched in North Somerset.  The first multi-agency “Day of Action” operation took place earlier this week to improve safety, support vulnerable people and reduce anti-social behaviour.

Improvements have been made to bus passenger facilities at Weston General Hospital. A small transport hub has been created near the entrance to the hospital, including: 

  • a new large bus shelter with improved seating
  • an e-ink screen offering digital timetables and real time updates
  • additional seating outside of the shelter and motorcycle parking facilities

Anyone wanting to give the bus a try before the end of the year can ride the X10 for free leading up to the Christmas period. All fares for the Big Lemon bus service are waived this festive season from 5 to 24 December. No tickets, passes, or vouchers needed, just hop on. This offer is thanks to government funding through the Bus Service Improvement Plan (BSIP)
