Two weeks left to have your say on North Somerset Local Plan 2041

North Somerset Council is reminding residents that there are only two weeks to go before the consultation period for North Somerset Local Plan 2041:Pre-submission Plan, (Reg 19) closes. The consultation period will close at 5:00 pm on Friday 12 December. 

North Somerset Council’s Local Plan sets out where development could take place across North Somerset, outlining future investment in housing, jobs, transport, community facilities and green spaces from 2026 to 2041. 

Local residents are invited to review the plan and submit comments online via the Council’s consultation portal. Representations can also be sent by email or post to the Planning Policy Team. All responses received will be made publicly available at the end of the consultation and forwarded to the Planning Inspector for consideration. 

Cllr Annemieke Waite, Cabinet Member for Planning and Environment at North Somerset Council said:   

“We strongly encourage everyone with a view — whether you care about new homes, protecting green spaces, better transport or community facilities — to share their views with us. This plan will shape North Somerset for the next 15 years, and we want to hear from a wide range of people before the consultation closes on the Friday 12 December.”
