Health Walks return to Worle

North Somerset Council is delighted to announce the return of Health Walks to Worle after a break of almost five years, thanks to the dedication of newly trained volunteer walk leaders.

The new Worle walking group is part of the council's popular Health Walks scheme, which offers individuals who want to start being more active the opportunity to get outdoors and enjoy regular, guided walks.

Weston residents are already benefiting from weekly Monday afternoon walks, and the Worle group provides another chance for the local community to stay active, make new friends, and explore local walking routes on Thursday mornings.

Councillor Jenna Ho Marris, North Somerset Council’s Cabinet Member for Housing and Health, said: “It’s wonderful to see the Health Walks scheme expanding, providing an excellent way for our communities to improve their physical health and mental wellbeing, help each other to live well and enjoy the beautiful surroundings of North Somerset.

“Most people tell us they thoroughly enjoy the regular exercise as well as the great company. It’s completely free and there’s no need to worry about planning the routes – our walk leaders have got that covered!”
