Pre-submission plan 2041 (Reg 19) – Autumn 2025 consultation

The new North Somerset Local Plan identifies where development can and cannot take place in North Somerset. It also guides investment for new housing, jobs, transport and community facilities over the next 15 years.

The pre-submission plan is the version that the council proposes to submit to the Secretary of State for independent examination. The Pre-submission Plan was agreed by the Cabinet on 15 October 2025

Prior to submission to the Secretary of State, a period of consultation will take place in relation to the ‘soundness’ of the Local Plan.

Consultation on the Local Plan 2041 - pre-submission plan (reg 19) will run from 30 October until 5pm on Friday 12 December 2025.
