Children's cycle training (Bikeability)

Bikeability helps children to ride confidently and develop age-appropriate road safety skills.

The majority of Bikeability is delivered through schools and is available free of charge.

Courses available are:

  • year 4 - level 1 (playground based)
  • years 5 and 6 - level 2 (on-road)
  • years 7, 8 and 9 - level 3 (more complex traffic systems than level 2)

Training is currently delivered by Life Cycle UK, and schools are regularly reminded to book training.

Further information on the courses can be found on the Life Cycle UK website.

School holiday courses

Bikeability courses are also run for levels 2 and 3 during the school holidays.

These can be booked online at the Life Cycle UK website.
