People who are sleeping rough

Anyone concerned about a rough sleeper should contact StreetLink. Streetlink is the national rough sleeping helpline which alerts local services.

We work in partnership with the YMCA to provide outreach support to all rough sleepers in North Somerset.

There are lots of agencies in North Somerset who provide help and services to people who are sleeping rough including day centres, daily meals, medical help and outreach support.

Severe weather

During spells of particularly cold weather the severe weather emergency protocol (SWEP) is activated.

Homeless people who are not rough sleeping

Most single homeless people are not sleeping rough but are ‘sofa surfing’ and staying between family and friends. We provide help and advice and provide accommodation to those who are particularly vulnerable.
