Transport to your event

When planning your event, you should promote sustainable transport where possible.

Public transport

You can use the Travelwest website to find information to help you create a sustainable transport plan and advise your attendees on how to travel to your event using public transport.

Parking

If you are organising an event that will significantly impact the availability of parking in the area, you should contact our parking team to inform them of your plans. This includes parking in car parks or on the street.

Car parks

You should contact our parking team if you want to use a section of a car park for operational parking related to your event. In addition to the suspension and restrictions on its use, such as no generators or sale of food, there could be a licence to occupy fee for land use.

On-street

If you want to suspend any parking bays, yellow lines or pay and display areas, you will need to get permission from the parking team. You may need to pay a fee for each suspension.

You should apply at least five working days before the date you want the suspension to start.

If you have previously negotiated restrictions for a previous event, you will need to re-engage with our parking team if you need to repeat the restrictions.
