How to nominate assets

As well as completing the nomination form, you will need to send evidence that you are allowed to make a nomination.

You will also need to provide a description of the nominated asset, and its proposed boundaries clearly indicated on a plan, including the land registry title plan when possible.

Nominations are acknowledged within five working days and are considered in line with The Assets of Community Value (England) Regulations 2012. We aim to make a decision within eight weeks.

Assets are listed for a period of five years after which time they are removed from the register.

Community groups can re-nominate an asset shortly before the end of the five-year listing (no more than eight weeks before) by submitting a new nomination form together with evidence to confirm the asset still meets the criteria.
