When we need more time to make a decision, we will contact you to request an extension.
You can agree to an extension on any application except for:
- notifications
- certificates of lawfulness
To agree to an extension, please include the completed extension of time agreement form below when you first send your application, or at any time when we are considering it. Please include any related reference numbers if you have them.
For applications where a legal agreement is needed, we will usually request to extend the decision deadline by at least eight weeks.
