It’s really important to take care of your physical and mental health. If you’re feeling worried at the moment, you are not alone. What you’re feeling is completely normal but there are things you can do to help improve your wellbeing.

The Every Mind Matters website has advice and tips on how to look after your mental wellbeing and tips to help manage anxiety.

Our five ways to wellbeing leaflet suggests five things you can do each day to improve your overall happiness and wellbeing. The leaflet gives some examples of how you can practice the five ways to wellbeing:

Better Health North Somerset

Better Health North Somerset supports the health and wellbeing of residents in North Somerset. They offer advice on local services and give practical information to help you live a healthier lifestyle.

Supporting the mental wellbeing of children

Place2Be is a charity that focuses on improving the mental health of children.

Young Minds have produced tips for parents to help them talk to children about money and the cost of living crisis.

Childline have a page on their website about helping children to deal with worrying things that are happening in the world.

Where to go for help

The Independent Mental Health Network has pulled together information about local mental health and wellbeing services across North Somerset, and provides regular updates about what's on offer to help.

Information for community volunteers

In North Somerset we have a variety of community groups, voluntary organisations, and services that support people’s mental health and wellbeing. This leaflet provides a useful summary on where to go to access these groups and services.

Samaritans offer a 24-hour helpline service. You can call them on 116 123 or email jo@samaritans.org (an email response may take 24 hours)

Kooth is an online mental wellbeing community for children and young people.

Silver Line is a national, free and confidential helpline dedicated to older people. They offer information, friendship and advice – or just someone to chat to.
