Share your views on Adult Social Care

North Somerset Council provides a range care and support options to help older people, carers, and people with mental health, learning or physical disabilities to live well.

We want to work alongside people who draw on care and support to help us improve what is available. We want to hear from you about how we can best support you with the things that matter to you most.

If you have opinions about your experience of Adult Social Care, or ideas you would like to share about how we can improve, we would love to hear from you.

Everyone is invited to take part and we have a range of ways you can share your views.

Keep an eye on this page for regular updates about ways to get involved.

Coproduction and review panel

We have created a Coproduction and Review Panel as a way for you to get involved and share your views.

Coproduction means working in equal partnership with people with lived experience to achieve a shared goal. It is a way of working that recognises:

  • everyone has a contribution to make
  • all input has equal value
  • everyone works together to come to a decision that works for everyone

On our Coproduction and Review Panel, we work with people who have been supported by Adult Social Care to create an equal and reciprocal partnership. This partnership shares power and responsibility for making positive changes to the way we deliver adult social care.

What this involves

The group's aim is to improve coproduction across Adult Social Care. We work together to set agendas and decide the direction and plans for the group.

The group meets monthly, with the option of joining online and in person. It involves

  • keeping in touch via email and phone calls
  • reading documents
  • giving views on a range of subjects relating to adult social care.

There are also opportunities to be involved with the development of policies and strategies.

How to register your interest

If you would like to be involved in our Coproduction and Review Panel, please contact us via the button beneath this text to express your interest.

We will then send you a questionnaire to get more details about how you want to be involved.

People's Advisory Alliance

If you are unable to attend meetings but still want to be involved and give your views, you can join the People's Advisory Alliance.

This group helps us to collect feedback into how we deliver Adult Social Care through emails, phone calls and surveys. If you join the People’s Advisory Alliance we will contact you when we need feedback about services if they relate to you. You may be invited to meetings if you want to attend to give views about a particular project or service.

If you are interested in joining, please contact us via the button included on this page. We will get in touch to find out more about you so we can ensure you are involved in the right projects.
