Wraxall and Failand Neighbourhood Planning Referendum

A referendum will take place on Thursday 19 September 2024 to decide on this question:

Do you want North Somerset Council to use the Neighbourhood Plan for Wraxall and Failand to help it decide planning applications in the area?

Only electors registered Wraxall and Failand will be eligible to vote in this referendum.

More information on the Neighbourhood plan can be found on our dedicated webpage.

How you can vote in the referendum

You can vote in the polling station, by post, or by appointing someone you trust to vote on your behalf (known as a proxy vote).

Deadlines

The deadline to Register to Vote is midnight on Tuesday 3 September 2024.

If you want to set up a postal or a proxy vote, do it as early as possible and by the deadline.

The deadline to apply to apply to vote by proxy is 5pm on Wednesday 11 September 2024.

Please note that if you are voting in a polling station, you must now bring a valid form of ID.

Poll cards

Poll cards will be sent out in the middle of August. Your poll card tells you your current voting arrangements and, if you’re voting in the polling station, it will include details of where you need to go.

You do not need to take your poll card to the polling station with you in order to vote.

The verification and counting of the votes will take place following close of poll at 10pm on Thursday 19 September 2024.
