An election will take place on Thursday 31 July to elect one town councillor for the Clevedon Yeo ward.

Only electors registered in the Clevedon Yeo ward area will be eligible to vote in this election.
How you can vote at the election
You can vote:
- in the polling station - please note Voter ID will be required to be shown by all voters at a polling station
- by post
- or by appointing someone you trust to vote on your behalf (known as a proxy vote)
Deadlines
The deadline to register to vote is midnight on Tuesday 15 July 2025.
If you want to vote in the polling station but do not have an accepted form of photographic ID, you can apply for a Voter Authority Certificate. The deadline is 5pm on Wednesday 23 July 2025.
If you want to set up a postal or a proxy vote, do it as early as possible and by the deadline.
The deadline to apply for a postal vote is 5pm on Wednesday 16 July 2025. (This is also the deadline to change or cancel an existing postal vote).
The deadline to apply for a proxy vote is 5pm on Wednesday 23 July 2025.
Poll cards
Poll cards will be sent out around the beginning of July. Your poll card tells you your current voting arrangements and, if you’re voting in the polling station, it will include details of where you need to go.
You do not need to take your poll card to the polling station with you in order to vote.

Notice of election will be published on Thursday 26 June 2025 and will be displayed on the legal notices page.
Nomination forms
You can submit your nomination forms from Friday 27 June 2025 to Friday 4 July 2025 between 10am and 4pm without an appointment. The original version of the nomination form must be delivered by hand* to the Town Hall.
