Equality objectives and policies

We have a duty to publish one or more equality objectives, demonstrating how we meet the aims of the general equality duty, as set out in the Equality Act 2010. 

Our equality objectives can be found within our Corporate Plan.

Our equality policy shows how we aim to ensure that everyone has an equal chance to live, work, learn and feel part of the community.

We regularly monitor the achievements against the priorities set in the Corporate Plan. More information on progress against these priorities can be found on our Organisational priorities page.

As an employer, we provide a workforce diversity report that shows the demographics of our employees and where possible, compares the data to the wider community of North Somerset.  

Our joint strategic needs assessment aims to identify the current and future needs for health and social care services for everyone in North Somerset.
