The first geographical area (FGA), sometimes called a ‘catchment area’, is the area around a school. You can use our map to check which school normally serves your home address. If a school does not have a FGA, it is not included in the map (this applies to most of the schools in Weston-s-Mare, Clevedon, Nailsea and Portishead).
We don’t use a ‘catchment area’ system for school admissions so living in a school’s FGA doesn’t guarantee a place at the school.
