*North Somerset schools do not have this intake. However, schools in other local authorities may have.
On time applications for students applying for reception, infant to junior and first to middle* open by 12 September 2024 and close at 11.59pm on 15 January 2025.
On time applications for secondary, middle to upper* and UTC* open by 12 September 2024 and close at 11.59pm on 31 October 2024.
If you live in North Somerset you must submit your application to us. You need to do so even if you want to apply for school(s) outside North Somerset. We consider you to you live in North Somerset if you pay your council tax to us.
If you live outside North Somerset and want to apply for a North Somerset school, you must submit your application to your home council.

EHCP
If your child has a current Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), you do not need to apply for a school place. Your child’s EHCP will name the school they will go to in September.
