How to pay

You can pay for on-street pay and display parking in three ways:

  • MiPermit - buy tickets through the app or call 0345 520 7007 for a virtual cashless ticket (convenience charge applies)
  • on-street pay and display machines
  • cashless machines.

For all options, the maximum stay per street and two hour no return time will apply.

On-street machines

If you are using the on-street machine that takes coins only, please make sure that you check that the machine has registered all of your coins and that the expiry time is correct before printing your ticket.

The machines accept the following coins, and no other payment methods:

  • 5p
  • 10p
  • 20p
  • 50p
  • £1 and £2

Alternatively, if you are using a cashless on-street machine, please ensure that the correct vehicle registration has been entered. The machine will confirm that payment has gone through.

You can use any of the pay and display machines in the on-street charging area to buy a ticket. This will be valid for any on-street location in Weston-Super-Mare. For Leigh Woods, short stay tickets are only valid in short stay areas and vice versa for long stay.

If a machine is out of order, please try another machine or use MiPermit for a cashless ticket (convenience charge applies). Details are included on each machine and on signs where there are cashless machines. They also include a phone number to report any faults.

Tickets issued in car parks cannot be used in on-street parking bays and vice versa. On-street pay and display tickets are valid for all on-street locations.
