The next Weston-super-Mare Carnival will take place on Friday 7 November 2025.
The procession starts at 7pm and gives an evening of family entertainment and raises money for local charitable causes. Entries include illuminated floats, marching bands, fancy dress walkers and entertainers parading through the town.
If viewing please give generously at the event or online and reward the efforts of the many volunteers who make the event possible.
This year the procession will take a different route. It will start at Locking Road car park, pass through the bus hub on Locking Road, and continue down Oxford Street onto Marine Parade. It will then travel along the Boulevard and down Alfred street where the route will end.
The carnival organisers will be operating a car park on the Beach Lawns from 2pm. Charges are £10 all day per car.
Visitors are also advised to take advantage of on-street parking where possible and enjoy a leisurely stroll into town.
Organisers inform there is very limited disabled parking available on a first come first served basis. We recommend arriving early as spaces are likely to fill up quickly.
If you are using any of the below town centre car parks or are parking on streets inside the road closures, you will not be able to exit until the procession has finished.
Please be aware that Tesco car park will not be open.
Car parks not affected by road closures are:
No waiting cones will be put out during the morning of the Carnival and will be enforced. On street pay and display parking is only available until 3pm.
Parking charges on all other streets will apply as normal.
Please make sure vehicles are removed from the procession route by 3pm.
After this time any vehicle parked on no waiting cones could be issued with a penalty ticket, and if considered to be causing an obstruction, may be removed.
This car park is closed to the public from Wednesday 5 November and re-opens after midday on Saturday 8 November.
