VE Day 80

2025 is the 80th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe, known as Victory in Europe (VE) Day.

We'll be marking the occasion with a special, invite only event we're arranging with Portishead Royal British Legion.

We'll also be flying the special VE Day 80 flag and our libraries will have dedicated displays. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for updates and information about the anniversary.

Here's a roundup of some of the local events that are taking place across North Somerset.
