Citizenship ceremonies

Citizenship rights are granted by the Home Office, who ask us to arrange the ceremony where prospective citizens can complete the process.

Ceremonies take place approximately every six weeks at the Town Hall in Weston-super-Mare.

Attendees are welcomed into citizenship after swearing or affirming an oath, and are then presented with their certificate of naturalisation.

New citizens who are unable to attend one of the regular ceremonies can choose to have a private ceremony. This takes place at the register office during our usual opening hours Monday to Friday, and citizens can invite two guests. The current fee for this service is £120.

Telephone to book an appointment at either office or email us with your enquiry.
