The government publishes information about the different types of elections that take place in the UK.

Notice of uncontested election - Long Ashton ward December 2022

An election was due to take place on Thursday 15 December to elect one parish councillor for the Long Ashton ward of Long Ashton Parish Council.

No candidates were validly nominated for and so a new election will be held within 35 days of Thursday 15 December.

Portishead Town Council South ward by-election

On Thursday 7 October an election took place to elect a parish councillor for Portishead's South Ward.

On Thursday 23 September, we held a referendum to decide whether the neighbourhood plan for the following areas will be used to guide future planning applications:

  • Abbots Leigh
  • Ham Green
  • Pill
  • Easton-in-Gordano

An election was due to take place on Thursday 30 September to elect one parish councillor for the South ward of Clevedon Town Council.

No candidates were validly nominated for and so a new election will be held on Thursday 21 October 2021.
