People in North Somerset have just one week left to make sure they are registered to vote in the coming General Election on Thursday 4 July.

The statements of persons nominated for the election of a member of parliament to the North Somerset and Weston-super-Mare parliamentary constituencies have been published.

Parents and carers are being invited to have their say on changes to the Home to School Transport (HTST) policy.

The Knife Angel departed Weston-super-Mare yesterday evening (Thursday 30 May), after a closing ceremony to reflect on the statue’s time in North Somerset. 

Hutton Moor Leisure Centre in Weston-super-Mare is set to benefit from more than £2.7m of green investment in a bid to significantly reduce the centre’s carbon emissions.

Following successful selection processes, operators have been chosen for Royal Sands Kiosk, Carlton Kiosk (currently called the Cove Kiosk) and Clifton Sands Kiosk. All three kiosks are in prime positions on Weston’s seafront.

A council scheme for North Somerset businesses and venues to show their support for breastfeeding has reached a major milestone.

Businesses and community groups who want to help improve their productivity, connectivity and boost prosperity are invited to apply for North Somerset Council’s second round of a rural capital grant programme launched today, Friday 24 May.

The Knife Angel will be leaving Weston-super-Mare at the end of May. To mark the statue’s departure and reflect on its time in North Somerset, the public are invited to attend a closing ceremony on Thursday 30 May.

Following a successful selection process, The Food Hub has been confirmed as the new operator of Clarence Park Café in Weston-super-Mare. It’s hoped that the café will be open to the public in time for the summer season.
