The winter offer is available to North Somerset residents for £30 per subscription, a reduced rate on the annual price of £65.
This offer is ideal for:
- New subscribers who would like garden waste collections during the winter months, including collections of real Christmas trees.
- Existing subscribers who wish to add a second bin or have an additional three bags collected.
Residents can subscribe at any time from between now and 2 January 2026, although earlier sign-ups will benefit from a greater number of collections.
Subscriptions can be made online at www.n-somerset.gov.uk/gardenwaste or through the North Somerset Council App.
Households without an existing container should note that deliveries may take up to 28 working days, which could delay the start of collections. Those who already have a container can begin using the service as soon as their permit arrives, which are issued within 15 working days of signing up.
Support is also available for the most financially vulnerable households. A 75 per cent discount is automatically applied for those who meet the eligibility criteria, reducing the cost to £7.50 per bin or three sacks.
Cllr Annemieke Waite, Cabinet Member for Planning and Environment at North Somerset Council, said: “Our winter garden waste offer provides residents with a convenient and affordable way to manage their garden waste through the colder months. Whether you’re clearing up fallen leaves or recycling your Christmas tree, this service helps keep gardens tidy and supports our commitment to sustainability across North Somerset.”
Residents are reminded that this offer covers collections only until 31 March 2026 and is not pre-payment for the next subscription year (April 2026 – March 2027). Renewals for the new subscription’s year will open in February 2026.
