Taking place on Thursday 26 September, 9.30am - 12.30pm at Friends Meeting House in Weston-super-Mare (BS23 1JF), this family-friendly event is designed to help anyone affected by the benefit cap.
There will be free refreshments, a raffle with exciting prizes, and activities available for children.
Whether seeking employment after time away, exploring training opportunities, or needing assistance with Universal Credit and other benefits, the event caters to a wide range of needs.
This includes:
- guidance on identifying the right career path
- insight into training opportunities to help upskill
- advice on navigating benefits, including Universal Credit
- information on available childcare support for work or training
- success stories
- one-on-one support.
Opportunity North Somerset (ONS) will also be there to provide personalised support and referrals to employment and skills services. Whether dealing with a loss of confidence, redundancy, or barriers such as disability, mental health conditions, or digital exclusion, ONS connects residents with the right support.
