Supporting disabled children and short breaks

Supporting disabled children

To help children with additional needs and their families, our social workers, occupational therapists, family support workers, day care co-ordinators, volunteer co-ordinators, play leader and play workers work as a team to make sure families get the best support.

We work directly with young people to make sure their identified needs are met as early as possible, and listen to their views on what we do. We promote health and wellbeing through learning and fun activities, and make sure they are safe from harm in their environment.

Helping families provide the best possible care for their children is important to us.

Short breaks for disabled children

Short breaks for disabled children and young people range from just a few hours a day to overnight stays in a residential or community setting. Short break services support disabled children and their families to remain safe, well and secure
