Better Health North Somerset is a public health service funded by us to help North Somerset residents with things like getting active, stopping smoking, or eating healthily.

North Somerset mental health and wellbeing directory

This directory provides a place for children and young people, their families and professionals to get quick, easy and direct access to up-to-date mental health and wellbeing information in North Somerset.

CAMHS - community child and adolescent mental health services

Community teams who can help children and young people with a range of emotional, behavioural and mental health difficulties.

NHS support

Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire NHS (BNSSG) support children and young people under 18 with complex needs. They have made videos which can help you understand some of the support you can get.

Sirona Health and Care Partnership

Sirona Health and Care Partnership are a not-for-profit organisation funded by the NHS. They are committed to:

  • being inclusive and ensuring equal access to services

Enable Inclusion team

North Somerset schools can request support for children and young people from the Enable Inclusion team (EIT).  

The EIT are part of the Enable Trust. They provide coaching support for children and young people at risk of exclusion from education and those anxious about about attending school.

The team work with schools and families to support the young people they work with. They are able to accept a small number of referrals this year for intensive work and all referrals need to be agreed with Jaida Aldred, or via the LA's inclusion panels.
