Many organisations and charities need help from volunteers. Volunteering can help you learn the skills you need to find paid work. You don't get paid to volunteer and it shouldn't affect your benefits.

You can find more information about our volunteering roles on our website. Most of our roles are open to people aged 14 and over, the exception being home library service volunteers. We also offer Duke of Edinburgh volunteering opportunities for the bronze, silver and gold awards.
Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS)
We work closely with our local volunteer organisation, Voluntary Action North Somerset (VANS). They offer advice on volunteering issues including recruitment, funding and training, as well as advertising volunteering opportunities.
