To make appointments for your child, you need to register them with a local doctor and dentist.

Vaccinations

It is important that your child has protection from common childhood illness and that vaccinations are given on time.  

To find out what vaccinations should be given to your child, and when they should receive them, visit the NHS website.

MMR vaccine

HANDi app

Healthier Together's HANDi app provides advice and support to parents and carers when a child is unwell.

The app offers advice on the following:

  • diarrhoea and vomiting
  • high temperature
  • 'chesty baby' illnesses, such as bronchiolitis, asthma and croup
  • 'chesty child' illnesses, such as wheezing and asthma
  • common newborn problems
  • tummy pain
  • head injuries
