Employment and training

Disabled people have the same employment and training rights as non-disabled people. This applies to maternity leave and protection against unfair dismissal.

Most education and training institutions also have policies to fully integrate disabled people within their chosen courses.

The Access to Work scheme can help if your health or disability affects the way you do your job. It gives you, and your employer, advice and support which may arise because of your needs.
