The free all-day training session will be delivered online on Thursday 14 November. Another session may be added during the week, depending on demand.

Councillor Annemieke Waite, North Somerset Council’s executive member for Climate, Waste and Sustainability, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for businesses and organisations in North Somerset to move along their journey to net zero – for free.
“Helping them understand the causes and effects of climate change, and what they can do to address the impacts, will help us in our mission to become a green and thriving North Somerset.
“Carbon Literacy training normally costs £125 per person, but we’re offering this course for free as part of Carbon Literacy Action Day. The course is delivered by one of the council’s trained officers. I’m very pleased that we’re once again going to be part of this record-setting global movement.
“We’ve won awards for our Carbon Literacy training – in fact, the Carbon Literacy Project gave us a Catalyst Award for Carbon Literacy training we delivered last year, which saw 175 people come together at the Winter Gardens for a day of free training.
