Another stop smoking support clinic is set to launch later this month in Weston-super-Mare, as North Somerset Council continues its work to help people across the area live healthier lifestyles.

The new drop-in clinic will be on Tuesdays, from noon until 2pm, starting on Tuesday 11 July then running up to and including Tuesday 12 December 2023. It will be at We Are Super in The Sovereign in Weston (next to Wilko).

Cllr Jenna Ho Marris, the North Somerset Council’s executive member for public health encouraged smokers to go along to the new dop-in clinic:

“It’s never too late to stop smoking. Our Better Health North Somerset Smokefree advisors are trained experts in helping people to quit cigarettes for good.

“They offer a free, supportive, non-judgmental service and they know how difficult it can be to stop. By using our Smokefree service you’ll be able to receive free or reduced cost nicotine replacement products such as patches, gum, lozenges and mouth spray to help support you.

“Your Smokefree advisor will work with you to find the most effective way of kicking the habit for good, so please do drop in and take that first step to being smokefree!”

This new walk-in session will run alongside the other drop-in clinics which are already up and running:

  • Thursdays from 4pm to 5.30pm at The Town Hall. Weston-super-Mare
  • Fridays from 11am to 1pm at the For All Healthy Living Centre, Weston-super-Mare
