You never know when you or a loved one might need advice or support to stay independent at home. The centre is here for everyone, and we’d encourage residents to come along and see what’s available.”
Visitors to the open day will have the chance to meet representatives from local services and suppliers, including stairlift specialists, AKW Bathrooms, Medequip, and Medequip Connect, as well as North Somerset Council’s Carers Service, Occupational Therapy and TEC teams, the Handyperson Service, and Sirona Specialist Falls Service.
Cllr Whitfield added: “Our vision for adult social services and housing in North Somerset is to promote wellbeing by helping our residents to be as independent as possible, for as long as possible. The Independent Living Centre is a key part of delivering this vision, creating a space where people can access the information, guidance and support they need to lead fulfilling lives.”
