Taking place on Tuesday 5 August and Wednesday 6 August 2025, Castle Batch Children's Centre hosted All Star and Dynamos free cricket events for children aged five to eight years and nine to twelve years from 10am to 2pm on both days.
Organised by North Somerset Council’s Children Centres team and Somerset Cricket Foundation, both events were fully booked.
Children engaged in fun activities led by three coaches from the Somerset Cricket Foundation helping all children socialise and learn new skills.
Each child was included in the games as they focused on teamwork, fair play and, most importantly, enjoying themselves.
Councillor Catherine Gibbons, North Somerset Council’s Cabinet Member for children’s services, families and lifelong learning, said: “Somerset Cricket Foundation provides an engaging and fun cricket coaching experience for children in North Somerset. It allows them to experience something new, meet other children and build skills.
“Thank you to all our staff who helped to organise and run the event on both days. I hope that all who attended enjoyed the day full of cricket fun!”
North Somerset Children’s Centres provide a wide range of activities for children and families in the community.
