It allows for direct contact with those residents who have made bookings in the event of any emergency site closures to prevent unnecessary journeys. It also allows for efficient running of the sites, making use of available site capacity across days and times, meaning residents do not unnecessarily spend time in a queue to use the sites. It also prevents unauthorised use of the site for commercial and DIY waste helping to keep the cost of delivering the statutory service to a minimum.
