Notice of marriage or civil partnership fees
£42 per person, payable when notice is given.
If one or both partners are subject to immigration control, £57 per person is payable when notice is given.
Registrar and register office fees
Please note that from 28 May 2024, consideration of foreign divorce documents will be subject to a fee of £55. In some circumstances this may increase to £83 if the document needs to be referred to the General Register Office.
The fee is payable at the time of the notice of marriage appointment, is non-refundable, and does not guarantee approval of the documents.
Attendance fees
Attendance of a registrar to register a marriage in a registered building (a non-conformist church) is £116.50.
Attendance of a registrar for marriages or civil partnership ceremonies at approved premises:
Classic ceremonies
- Monday to Saturday – £570
- Sundays – £630
- bank holidays – £750
Enhanced ceremonies
- Monday to Saturday – £645
- Sundays – £705
- bank holidays – £825
Ceremony fees for marriage or civil partnerships
All ceremony fees include the cost of one certificate. Payment is due four weeks in advance of your ceremony.
