Teaching children about road safety

Our child pedestrian training scheme is based on the Kerbcraft scheme and helps young children learn skills to stay safe when crossing the road. It teaches them to find safe places to cross, cross safely where cars are parked, and cross safely near junctions.

The scheme is aimed at children aged five to seven and uses trained volunteers to take them out of the classroom and onto the streets around their school. Each skill is practised at locations surrounding their school and takes place over a four to six week duration.

Contact us if you could volunteer your time to support a scheme in your area.
