Sensory Support Service carer and parent questionnaire

This survey is to seek views of the carers and parents of users of the Sensory Support Service to help with the review and redesign of the service.


The results will be analysed by the four commissioners. They will take these results in to account when they are working on the new service design.

The results of the consultation will be published with the new service proposal in December 2018. The new service proposal will then be subject to three months formal public consultation.

Aim of this consultation The aim of the consultation is to gather the views of the carers and parents of children and young people who have or currently use the Sensory Support Service. The questions ask what parts of the service have been or are used, what your experiences of the services are, and what you believe are the priorities for the service in the future.

Context for this consultation The Councils who manage the Sensory Support Service are thinking about changing it. Before they do this, they are asking young people, parents, and the people who work for the Sensory Support Service, what they think already works well and what could be improved.

They are Bath and North-East Somerset, Bristol, North Somerset and South Gloucestershire. The four councils are working to change the service to make it as good as it can be in the years to come. the views of everyone who uses or has used or who has a interest in the service are very important. These will help the four councils to make sure the service is as good as it can be.

This survey is anonymous - we won't know that the answers have come from you – so please be completely honest. You can ask an adult or friend to help you complete the questionnaire, please make sure your ideas are recorded. (There is another questionnaire for parents and carers to have their say.) It might take up to half an hour to answer all the questions.
