Improving Weston-super-Mare

We have successfully bid for £20 million from the UK government as part of our ambitious placemaking vision for Weston-super-Mare.

The investment will be used to focus on several high-profile sites across Weston’s town centre and seafront to transform the culture, leisure and retail experience for residents, business and visitors.

This will help to

  • reinvent iconic heritage buildings
  • support local businesses
  • create new jobs
  • deliver a year-round experience-led economy for the future

See our dedicated project webpages for more information on how we're putting these funds to use.

Please note, some aspects of the information provided within the bid have changed or evolved. While these were accurate at the time of submission, changes have been made due to survey and feasibility work carried out after the project began.

These include

  • scope and timelines of the projects
  • project targets and costs
